Institutional Research

Institutional Research Master of Arts (M.A.)

If you have heard of data driven decision making in higher education, then you have heard of the impact of institutional researchers. IR professionals plan the data collection, the analysis and the interpretation that support university and college administrators' decision making.

Institutional Researchers play a role in:
  • Strategic planning
  • Accreditation
  • Policy development
  • Identifying the factors that influence costs
  • Workloads
  • Examining teaching
  • Admission
  • Grading practices

This master's program can be completed with or without a thesis. Our program ensures that our graduates have 'real world experience' through practicum experience(s) in an institutional research office.

Careers:
Graduates of the program can work at all levels of higher education from community colleges to universities.
