Lincoln Literacy Internships

If you want a shot at one of the most enriching internships available, consider spending 8 - 10 hours a week with Lincoln Literacy. If selected, you'll be trained to teach English as an instructor in small-group classes of refugees and immigrants. You may also be selected to work with refugee children in our FLAIR family literacy program. You'll be part of an international team at one of Lincoln's most respected nonprofits, where you'll also help with nonprofit administrative tasks and public events. Your Schedule can usually be individualized to accommodate other activities, such as school and employment.  Internships are available for the fall, spring, and summer semesters.

This is an unpaid internship, but it provides a valuable and satisfying experience. To get an idea of what it's like, watch these short videos by two of our UNL summer interns: https://youtu.be/rRskwtAKA5U and https://youtu.be/-JcpFlRP5RM .
