I taught for 43 years in public high schools with all years in Nebraska except one (Iowa). My teaching certificate was 7-12 English. I taught all areas of English, including Speech and Drama.
Earning a degree at UNL took dedication and hard work. I learned so much from so many talented professors during my 4 years. My preparation in my English major was exceptional and challenging, which had a great impact on how and what I taught during my career.
Gaining an education is why you are there so don't miss any class and participate in every class by listening, discussing, and asking questions.
