Meeting lifelong friends in the physical education program and in Pound Hall and attending football and basketball games.
I taught elementary physical education with the Lincoln Public Schools for 40 years.
Over the years when asked about my alma mater, I've always had a sense of pride when I can say that I'm a graduate of the University of Nebraska.
When I graduated from Falls City High School in 1966 and moved to Lincoln, it was an easy transition for me because fellow Cornhusker classmates had the same loyalty to our state and our university. My experience those four years not only provided me a solid education, but it also built my confidence that would carry me through my teaching years.
