Academic and Program Calendar for 2020-2021
The dietetic internship will begin on August 24, 2020 and end on August 13, 2021. In the fall semester, dietetic interns will be full-time graduate students in the Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences. In addition, interns will complete a minimum of 80 hours of supervised practice experiences in the area of community health/nutrition education outreach, which will count toward the minimum of 1200 supervised practice hours required. During the second part of the internship, (January 4, 2021 through August 13, 2021) interns will participate in a six-hour graduate course and complete a 32-week supervised practice experience at 36-40 hours per week for a total minimum number of supervised practice hours of 1200 hours. Interns will be granted the Memorial Day and July 4 holidays and four personal days.
