Graduation and Program Completion Requirements (Bachelor’s Degree)

Graduation requirements for a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education and Human Sciences, Nutrition and Health Sciences major, Nutrition and Dietetics option is the completion of a minimum of 120 semester credit hours while completing all required courses as identified in the undergraduate catalog with a minimum GPA of 2.0 and a grade of “C” or higher in all NUTR courses.  The Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences will not accept course work to meet DPD requirements from any university/college outside the University of Nebraska system in which a grade of D-, D, or D+ was earned. 

Students will be assigned an academic advisor to guide them in completing program requirements. My Degree Audit (https://registrar.unl.edu/student/my-degree-audit/) will list all of the degree requirements based on the Undergraduate Catalog that the student is following and guide the student in planning their academic schedules.

Please Note: 

 Students can meet the requirements for the Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and Human Sciences, Major in Nutrition and Health Sciences: Nutrition and Dietetics Option but NOT MEET the requirements for attainment of a Verification Statement.  Without the Verification Statement, students will not be eligible to apply for admission into a supervised practice program, i.e. dietetic internship program.
