Insurance Requirements/Liability for Safety and Travel/Injury or Illness While in a Facility
If students choose to drive their own car for travel to and from assigned areas required to meet specific course expectations and requirements they are responsible for having a valid driver’s license and car insurance. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is not responsible for the safety of students choosing to drive their own car to complete course requirements.
Students are not required to carry professional liability. Students are covered under the University of Nebraska general liability policy as students in training.
Students who become ill or injured in a facility while completing volunteer experiences as part of meeting course requirements are responsible for covering any medical costs associated with the illness or injury. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln will not cover any illness or injury expenses.
