“Heart Disease and Exosomes.”

The Nebraska Center for the Prevention of Obesity Diseases (NPOD) hosted the 10th Annual Spring Retreat on April 11, 2018.  The retreat is always a free, day-long event for faculty, postdocs, students, staff, industry partners, and other interested parties offering an opportunity to explore relevant topics and to network with fellow researchers in academia and industry.   The speakers this year were internationally recognized experts on the topic of “Heart Disease and Exosomes”: Mark Feinberg, Harvard University, Alan Attie, University of Wisconsin, Robert Kitchen, Exosome Diagnostics.

Programming concluded with a poster competition for graduate students and postdocs. A record number of 27 posters were entered, and three cash prizes were awarded.
