Zempleni Invited to Serve as Vice-Chair on American Society for Nutrition Committee, June 2015

On behalf of the American Society for Nutrition (ASN) members and the ASN Board of Directors, Dr. Janos Zempleni, Willa Cather Professor of Molecular Nutrition and Director of the Nebraska Center for the Prevention of Obesity Diseases, has been invited to serve as Vice-Chair on the Reviews, Papers and Guidelines Committee. Members of the committee are all nationally recognized senior scientists who are expert in subjects related to nutrition. The committee consists 7 members appointed by the president of the American Society for Nutrition. Members serve a three-year, staggered, term and Dr. Zempleni will serve from June 1, 2015 to May 31, 2018. The purpose of the committee is to oversee development of ASN-approved systematic reviews, scientific statements, and practice guidelines on nutrition-related topics.
