My research program focuses on the broad area of food and bioproducts engineering with particular attention on value-added processing of agricultural commodities and physical properties determination. Concentration of recent research effort has been related to processing (e.g., milling, fermentation, extraction) of grain sorghum to minimize lipid loss and maximize lipid recovery. In addition, grain sorghum lipid fractions from a food-grade sorghum variety have been prepared for use in collaborative animal feeding studies.
