The Wang group has been conducting research on statistical methodology with applications to biology and human health. Novel statistical methods have been developed for the analysis of microarray data, QTL mapping in plant and animals, modeling of epigenetic modifications, and for combining different data sources in dissecting gene regulation pathways. They are also carrying out stochastic modeling of biotin metabolisms in human and mouse. Future research will focus on developing flexible statistical models to integrate information from various aspects of molecular biology and human nutrition.
