Thank you for five years of service to Dr. Angie Pannier

20 Apr 2014

After five years of service on the NGN Leadership Team, Angie Pannier, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering, has decided to step down from that office.  Angie (pictured left) has done an excellent job, moving the NGN forward to where we are right now. Angie’s five years of service, included NGN’s near-hits on a T32 training grant and COBRE grant applications. NGN Director, Dr. Janos Zempleni, is pleased to report that Angie intends to stay involved in NGN Affairs as an active member.

We are pleased to announce that replacing her will be Dr. Juan Cui, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, who has accepted an invitation to serve on our Leadership Team.  Dr. Cui (pictured right) joined UNL and NGN last fall. By appointing her to the Leadership Team, we will continue NGN’s tradition of departmental diversity while also aligning our group with bioinformatics and big data efforts at UNL.
