Brief Biography

Rachel Kunz is a first-year graduate student in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education. While earning her M.Ed., she is also working on earning the TESOL Certificate and the English as a Second Language Endorsement (Gr. PK-12). Rachel holds a Nebraska Elementary Educator's Certificate/Permit (Gr. K-6th) and taught 5th grade for the past three years in LPS during the pandemic. She is taking a break from teaching to focus on her M.Ed. degree full-time and plans to return to teaching fall of 2023.

B.A. (2019) - University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Major: Elementary Education, Minors: Leadership & Communication, International Studies.


Research Interests

Multilingual (ESL/ELL) education, culturally responsive pedagogy, multiculturalism, and therapy dogs in the classroom.
