Eric Fishman

Eric Fishman teaches 5th and 6th grade in an inclusion classroom at the Mission Hill School in Boston. Eric loves to explore organizing, direct action, and abolitionist movements with his students. Outside of the classroom, he translates French and Caribbean poetry, plays the cello, and drinks a lot of tea. Eric is a founding editor of Young Radish, a magazine of poetry and art by young people.

Erin Comber

Erin Comber is currently a 2nd grade teacher at a Spanish-English bilingual school in Holyoke, MA. She has previously worked in Boston, MA and just outside of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Erin loves having those "difficult conversations" with students and inspiring them to be young activists. One of her current favorite books to use is Sometimes People March by Tessa Allen. Outside of school, Erin loves to workout, enjoy nature, play music, and read (especially YA fiction books).

Matthew Sims

Matt Sims is an ESL teacher at McDevitt Middle School in Waltham, MA. He is a proud member of a multi-racial family. As a teacher, Matt especially enjoys working with high school and middle school emergent bilingual students on narrative writing, authentic discussions, and interdisciplinary project based learning about issues that matter most to students such as improving remote learning and addressing racism. In his free time, Matt loves watching and playing soccer, hanging out with his wife and daughter and staying in touch with friends and family in Ethiopia.
