Farya Haider

My name is Farya Haider and I am originally from Elmhurst, Illinois. For undergrad, I studied Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and then went on to do my masters at Loyola University Chicago. I am currently a PhD student in the school psychology program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My research interests include mental health, family-school collaboration, early intervention, autism spectrum disorders, and applied behavior analysis. My name is Kyle Bizal and I am from Lincoln, Nebraska. I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, and I am currently a school psychology Ph.D. student at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Abril Rangel-Pacheco

My name is Abril Rangel-Pacheco and I’m from Omaha, Nebraska. I graduated from Creighton University with a bachelor's degree in psychology, with minors in biology and Spanish and Hispanic studies and I’m currently a PhD student in the School Psychology program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My research interests include resilience and achievement in Latino/a/x youth and adolescents, mixed-status families, and school-based mental health services. There, I majored in both Elementary Education and Psychology. My research interests include youth mental health, classroom resiliency, and supporting teachers with diverse student needs. I am a second-year doctoral student in the School Psychology Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I was also fortunate enough to have attended undergrad at UNL where I majored in Psychology and minored in Sociology. My primary research interests focus on the experiences of adolescents from underrepresented groups, particularly those who have diverse/expansive sexual orientations and/or genders. Additionally, I am interested in wellness and resilience promotion for those with overlapping or marginalized social identities. I am committed to using the research and advocacy skills developed in this program to promote social change and equity. Fabianne Gondim (she/her)

My name is Fabianne Gondim, but everyone calls me Fabi. I am from Salvador, BA, Brazil. I have two B.A.s in Languages with Teacher Certification, majors in Portuguese Language & English and Portuguese as a Foreign Language, both from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) in my home city. I also have an M.A. in Educational Psychology with a specialization in School Psychology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL). I am currently a PhD student in the School Psychology program at UNL. My main research interest is the academic resilience of maltreated children, but I am also interested in studying school-based tier 1 mental health interventions and wellness promotion and Autism Spectrum Disorder school-based interventions. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, reading books, listening to music, and watching TV series and YouTube videos. Michaela Pierson (she/her)

My name is Michaela Pierson and I am from Harristown, Illinois. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Illinois State University with a minor in Cognitive Science-Linguistics. I am a second-year student in the school psychology doctoral program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My research interests primarily include the social skills, peer relationships, and friendships of children with neurodevelopmental and behavior disorders. I also really enjoy teaching and hope to do so at a university upon graduation. In my free time I love spending time out in nature, having movie nights, and hanging out with my extra-toed cat! My name is Sutton Marvin and I am in the School Psychology PhD program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am originally from Austin, Texas, but came to UNL to be part of the swim team during my undergraduate career. I earned by bachelor's degree in sociology with minors in psychology, english, and communication studies. My research interests include preschoolers with special needs, collaboration with teachers to build positive environments for those students, and human-animal interaction. I’m Roshawn Hollie (she/her) and I am a transfer student in the School Psychology PhD program here at UNL! I was born and raised in Bellevue, NE but have lived in Washington, DC and Thailand! Hailey Kisner is a first-year Ed.S student at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. She is originally from Hutchinson, Kansas. Hailey envisions using her degree to work in a rural school district. She has a passion for civil rights, educational neuroscience, and equipping young learners with the social-emotional skills needed to live and lead successful lives. Shay Brown

Hello, I'm Shay Brown, currently pursuing my Ed.S degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I come from Sprague, Nebraska, and have been a longtime resident of this state. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and ELL from Doane, and I also completed my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the same institution. I have dedicated four years of my professional life to Crete Elementary School, where I served as a First Grade Teacher for three years and later as a School Counselor for one year. My academic interests revolve around early childhood education and the creation of resilient, culturally responsive school environments. Outside of my academic pursuits, I find joy in traveling, spending quality time with friends and family, and indulging in my love for reading.
