Teacher-Child Ratios

Faculty are responsible to ensuring the proper teacher-child ratios are maintained at all times, indoors and outdoors. We follow NAEYC accreditation guidelines regarding ratios. Children between 18-36 months of age should be supervised with a minimum of a 1:6 ratio, other children should be supervised with a minimum of a 1:9 ratio. In the younger class we will strive to have a 1:4 adult-child ratio and in the older class 1:7. Additional adults should be utilized when on field trips; parents may be recruited to assist with field trips. Groups of children may be combined in unusual circumstances (weather has prevented some teachers and children from arriving).
