Outdoor Classroom

The physical benefits of outdoor play are apparent but there is also growing evidence that children's mental health and emotional well-being is enhanced by contact with the outdoors. Green outdoor spaces have been shown to foster creative play and improve interactions with adults and some researchers claim that contact with nature may be 'as important to children as good nutrition and adequate sleep'. Our Angeline Anderson Children’s garden provides a setting where children can begin to understand the principles of the natural world interacting with natural beauty throughout the seasons.
