Abby Pelster, CCC-SLP,  joined the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders in August 2016 as a lecturer and clinical supervisor in the Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic. She teaches Descriptive Phonetics and Normal Speech Development.

Prior to joining the faculty at Nebraska, Abby was a speech-language pathologist for Lincoln Public Schools from January 2009-August 2016, completing diagnosis and analysis of speech and language impairments for preschool, elementary and middle school students. She also served as an speech-language pathologist for Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy in Lincoln for more than four years, and supervised speech-language pathology practicum students in both of those roles.

Abby earned her master's degree in communication sciences and disorders from Kansas State University in December 2008. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in communication disorders from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2006.
