Sarath Vijayakumar joined the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders in October 2012 as a research assistant professor.

Prior to arriving at Nebraska, Sarath completed his doctorate in physiology at East Carolina University in 2009. He then spent two years as a postdoctoral scholar at East Carolina, where Dr. Sherri Jones served as his adviser.
