The Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders will once again host four open houses this year to highlight the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s graduate programs in speech-language pathology and audiology. The first open house is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 17, at the Barkley Memorial Center on East Campus.

The open houses, which begin at 9 a.m. and last until about 3 p.m., provide prospective graduate students with opportunities to meet current students and faculty, tour the Barkley Memorial Center and the Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic, and visit research labs. In addition, students may schedule one-on-one advising appointments with faculty members specializing in their area of interest. Details about the application process and funding opportunities are also discussed.

Along with the Nov. 17 event, the three other open house dates will be Dec. 8, March 30 and April 6. Anyone interested in attending one of the upcoming open house events is encouraged to complete the online registration form by 8 a.m. of the Tuesday prior to the event.

More information, including a schedule for the open houses, can be found by clicking here. Any questions regarding the open houses and/or admissions process may be directed to Graduate Secretary and Admissions Coordinator Jill England at jill.england@unl.edu or 402-472-2141.
