Being exposed to diversity and people from all over the world who were coming to the University to study primarily Agriculture. My professors were world class in research on human nutrition. The supportive academic environment was perfect for a student from a small town. Our department really cared about our career paths.

Our department really cared about our career paths and helped us find the next path post-graduation. You hear of so many people not using their education, that was not the way it was for us, we were nurtured for the real world.
Set goals, if you get stuck in a class and feel over your head, talk to your professor, they will support you thru the challenges. Enjoy academic life it is truly a privilege to get a great education.
