Brief Biography
Alessia Barbici-Wagner is a first year TLTE PhD student who possesses a Master of Arts in Foreign Languages and Literature with a specialization in “Linguistic and Language Teaching” from the University of Palermo (Italy). Her dissertation focused on “Accessibility and Usability of the Internet.”
Since her arrival in the United States in 2004, she has worked as a language instructor for American University in Washington D.C. as well as other schools, private companies, and online. She has extensive experience teaching language and culture to a wide range of students, both in terms of ages and skill levels, and is proficient using a variety of teaching methods.
