Instructional Design Technology Specialist

MA in English from University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado: 2009
BA in English from University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado: 2004

I am an Instructional Design Tech Specialist supporting the departments of TLTE and CYAF in the College of Education and Human Sciences. What that means for instructors is that I am here to help with a variety of instructional design needs, including course development, implementation of teaching strategies, and, yes, assistance with implementing Canvas.

I came to UNL from Albuquerque, NM, where I served as a project assistant to the Instructional Design team at the University of New Mexico as well as a Teaching Assistant in the departments of English and Linguistics while pursuing a graduate degree in Linguistics. My background has largely been in teaching, particularly in the writing classroom, but when it comes to language, my interests are not limited by classroom walls. That probably explains why I am (lovingly) called a “word nerd” and why I happily accept it.

My professional interests include the use of technology in the classroom and problem-based learning.
