Buffett Early Childhood Institute to announce statewide survey results

More than 7,100 Nebraskans recently responded to the largest public opinion survey ever conducted in the state about the care and education of young children. Findings of the Buffett Early Childhood Institute/Gallup Survey on Early Childhood Care and Education in Nebraska will be shared from 8:30-10 a.m., March 29 at the Sheldon Museum of Art (note this is a location change) on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Opening remarks will be made by Senator Galen Hadley, speaker of the Nebraska Legislature. An overview of the findings will be presented by Brandon Busteed, executive director, education and workforce development, Gallup, and Iheoma Iruka, director of research and evaluation, Buffett Early Childhood Institute. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion about early care and education in Nebraska. Panelists include:

  • Matt Blomstedt, commissioner of education, Nebraska Department of Education
  • Iheoma Iruka, director of research and evaluation, Buffett Early Childhood Institute
