Kim TaylorCollections Manager, International Quilt Study Center & Museum
Kim ensures the IQSCM collection is cared for by using proper handling and storage techniques with the assistance of a dedicated volunteer base. Kim oversees managing the collections database and paperwork for donations, purchases and incoming or outgoing loans for exhibitions. She also mentors students interested in developing skills in managing museum collections.
Kim has a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in painting and drawing, a Bachelor's in French language and literature, and a Master’s in cultural anthropology from the University of Montana. Her thesis involved research on Sioux and Assiniboine star quilts. Before joining the IQSCM staff in October 2012, she worked for the University of Northern Iowa Museum and has presented at conferences and symposiums nationwide.
