James featured in textileartist.org Q&A

Michael James, chair of the Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design, was recently featured in an online Q&A article on the website textileartist.org. James is a distinguished leader in the art quilt movement and currently has an exhibition of his most recent work at the International Quilt Study Center and Museum. "Ambiguity & Enigma: Recent Quilts by Michael James" runs through Feb. 20, 2016. The work was inspired by the journey of early onset Alzheimer's disease he and his wife traveled. She passed away in August 2015. The 14 pieces explore the personal grief and loss of his experience.
