TCD help raise funds for Lincoln's Cedars Foundation

The sixth annual Cedars Foundation POWER OF THE PURSE fundraiser auction was held on November 12, 2009 at Bryan LGH Plaza here in Lincoln.  Following on a preliminary round of jurying, the creations of  two Textiles, Clothing & Design student were included in the auctions.  Graduate student Sandra Starkey’s “Modern Pocket Purse” raised $1,300 on the live auction.  Junior Allie Nielsen’s “Welcome to the Jungle” entry garnered $45 on the silent auction.  Congratulations to these award-winning students!  Cedars Foundation and TCD are excited to continue their partnership in supporting Cedars' much needed work in the community.
