Making close friends from my sorority and graduate program, making life long connections with others in my field and all of the volunteer opportunities provided throughout the campus.
I am a speech language pathologist in Millard Public Schools, since August of 1999 to present
The speech language pathology program prepared me to work in both medical and school environments, with children or adults and with other staff and colleagues. It was rigorous, not easy, but challenged the idea of who I thought I was & what I was capable of doing and who they(the professors and instructors) knew I could be.
Enjoy every minute of your 4 or more years at the University. The opportunities for you to learn about your chosen career and yourself will never be so accessible as it is at UNL.
