Brenna WalshCHILD DEVELOPMENT FACULTY IN THE CHILD, YOUTH, AND FAMILY STUDIES DEPARTMENT,
HEAD TEACHER IN THE BLUESTEM CLASSROOM.

Ruth Staples is a special place and I am very grateful to be a part of it. I have always felt connected to the lab school since finishing student teaching here during my time in college. I graduated with a degree in Inclusive Elementary Education in 2016 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. From there I jumped right into a role as an early educator with Lincoln Public Schools and then a Kindergarten teacher prior to joining the team at Ruth Staples.

Originally, I am from Lincoln. I grew up just south of here and graduated from Norris High School. During that time, I met my now husband, Chris and we started our lives together. We are joined by our son, Charlie and our dog, Griffey. In our spare time, we love spending time with friends and family, having spontaneous dance parties and watching movies. We are a huge sports family and love cheering on the Huskers and the Chicago Cubs, but really you can find us watching any game with good competition.

I am grateful to be a part of the continuous learning done here at the lab school and am excited to see where each day will take us!
