Jingjie Hao Research Assistant Professor, Biomedical and Obesity Research Core Director

Dr. Hao serves as the Director of the Biomedical and Obesity Research Core (BORC), a comprehensive facility within the Nebraska Center for Prevention of Obesity Diseases (NPOD).

BORC has approximately 2,000 square feet of laboratory space in Leverton Hall and designated space in the Life Sciences Annex for in vivo animal studies. BORC provides a wide range of services including molecular and cell biology, metabolic study, animal behavior research, and small animal imaging. BORC also offers training sessions to both University of Nebraska investigators and external users, supporting cutting-edge research initiatives in the fields of obesity-related diseases and dietary molecules.

Dr. Hao leads and oversees BORC’s operations, serving as the primary contact for biostatistics coordinators and the Holland Computing Center to ensure seamless core support.
