Bekka Hitz inducted into Mortar Board for 2022-23

Bekka Hitz, a special education (7-12) major from Omaha, was among the 29 Huskers tapped into the Black Masque Chapter of Mortar Board during the Ivy Day ceremony April 2.

Mortar Board is a national honor society that recognizes college seniors for their achievements in scholarship, leadership and service, provides opportunities for continued leadership development, promotes service to colleges and universities, and encourages lifelong contributions to the global community.

180 SECD students named to Fall 2021 Deans' List

The Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders had 180 students named to the Deans' List for the fall semester of the 2021-22 academic year. To qualify for the Deans’ List, students must earn a 3.75 GPA over a minimum of 12 graded semester hours, while being enrolled full-time.
