NPOD 14th Annual Spring Retreat

The Nebraska Center for the Prevention of Obesity Diseases (NPOD) hosted his 14th Annual Spring Retreat on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the Nebraska East Union. 

The symposium was attended by 88 participants.

Featured speakers were experts on the topics of "Causes and Consequences of Obesity":

• Dr. Jorge E. Chavarro (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health)
  “Is there anything left to know about OBESITY and fertility?”

• Dr. Arion Kennedy (North Carolina State University)
  "Role of MHC Class I in Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease”

• Dr. Timothy P. Gavin (Purdue University)
  “Look Who's Talking – The Good and Bad of cell-to-cell communication in skeletal muscle”
