Barbara Shousha has successfully defended her doctoral dissertation titled “Student Support in Online Learning at Small Catholic Colleges,” as part of the Educational Administration, Educational Leadership and Higher Education Doctor of Philosophy program in the Department of Educational Administration in the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Shousha is a native of Omaha, Nebraska.
 
This research addressed best practices in support for online learners and evaluated practices in selected small, Catholic institutions in the United States. Specifically, the research looked at institutional support for online learners beyond the course experience.


Shousha’s advisor was Marilyn Grady, emeritus professor at Nebraska.
