Graduate education programs at UNL ranked No. 40 nationally

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s graduate education program jumped three spots and is ranked No. 40 in the 2019 U.S. News & World Report national rankings that were announced March 20.

Nebraska graduate education programs are housed in the College of Education and Human Sciences. Programs evaluated for this ranking include master’s, specialist, Ph.D. and Ed.D. degrees in the departments of Child, Youth and Family Studies; Educational Administration; Educational Psychology; Special Education and Communication Disorders; and Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education.

Lisa King, staff assistant in Child, Youth and Family Studies, has been named the CEHS February Staff Star Award recipient by the CEHS Staff Council. King’s thoughtfulness and concern for others was often mentioned by nominators as a quality that makes her shine.

What would you like to see in the new Mabel Lee?

All CEHS students, faculty, staff, alumni and others are invited to attend one of two learning and feedback sessions this Thursday, March 8 regarding the construction of a new Mabel Lee Hall. The college would like  input to help design a building that will serve students, faculty, staff and stakeholders well into the 21st century.

Registration open for Spring Research Fair poster sessions

Registration is open for the graduate and undergraduate research and creative activity poster sessions and creative exhibitions for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Spring Research Fair, April 10 and 11 in the Nebraska Union.

The registration deadline is 3 p.m. March 16. All students are encouraged to participate.

The annual fair showcases research and creative accomplishments by university graduate and undergraduate students.
