Students may request that a course requirement be waived if:

  1. The student has successfully completed a very similar graduate course with essentially the same content as the required course; and

  2. The student earned a grade of B or better in the course.

To apply for a waiver, complete the Course Waiver form in the program’s OneDrive folder and attach documentation such as a course syllabus, textbook title page, and examples of work completed. The waiver requires approval from both your advisor and the faculty member who teaches the course. The course instructor has final say in if a proposed waiver is “very similar graduate course with essentially the same content as the required course."
