CEHS hosts second technology Education in Digital and Global Environments conference.
The conference is directed toward pre-service and in-service teachers. The focus of the workshop is on technology that improves classroom practice, particularly new technologies and instructional methods for the 21st century.

Zhao and Jaing place in AATCC student competition

Congratulations to Yi Zhao and Jessie Qiuran Jiang, Ph.D. students in Textiles, Merchandising & Fashion Design, on winning 2nd place in the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists' annual student competition. Zhao and Jiang won for their poster entry in the Medical/Biomedical/Protective Materials and Devices category.

All entries were evaluated on concept originality, research quality, clarity, and results/discussions/conclusions.

TMFD students and faculty travel to Milan and Paris for Study Tour 2012

The TMFD 2012 European Study Tour group at the Pinacotecca de Brera in Milano, Italia

Thirty Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design majors recently traveled to Milan and to Paris with Professor Barbara Trout and Senior Lecturer Carol Easley for the 2012 TMFD Study Tour. The tour’s main objective was to explore the interface of fashion and European culture, and the European influence  on American product development and retailing.

TMFD's 7th Biennial Student Runway Show a Treat for All the Senses!

TMFD’s Student Runway Show on April 20, 2012 evolved into a true night to remember, and a full house audience of 500 was on hand to enjoy it. The dazzle and flash of the evening signaled a new direction for this much anticipated biennial event, one that pulled in talent and creativity from across the university’s campuses. A committed and talented group of collaborators brought their skills and energy to months of planning and creativity that shone in Centennial Ballroom on that Friday evening.
