Leverton Art Project

A new mural will soon be completed in Ruth Leverton Hall on East Campus. The mural wraps around the whole first floor of Leverton in living color. It was drawn and painted freehand, which has been of great interest to NHS faculty, staff and students. People in the building are interested in the daily progress of the mural, and ask many questions of the artist, who is now accustomed to it. Lincoln-based Mural Mural Graphics designed the project.

Textiles, Merchandising & Fashion Design Faculty and Students Attend the 2012 Dallas Career Day

Dallas Career Day participants listen to TMFD alum Kristina Bruder in JCP's color library

Twenty-six Textiles, Merchandising & Fashion Design students, accompanied by Senior Lecturer Carol Easley, Visiting Lecturer Sandra Starkey and Department Chair and Professor Michael James, travelled to the Dallas/Fort Worth area from April 11th through 14th to attend the 39th Dallas Career Day and to visit several fashion industry companies.   Dallas Career Day, sponsored by Fashion Group International, was, according to its website homepage “conceived as a way to provide a philanthropic, educational outreach program for college and university students seeking careers in the fashion and lifestyle industries.”

CEHS Fall Research Conference

The College of Education and Human Sciences is sponsoring a college-wide opportunity to share research, extension, creative endeavors, curriculum development projects and other scholarly activities. This is the "kick-off" for a two-day event celebrating research throughout CEHS for faculty and students. This Research Conference will provide an opportunity for faculty and students to experience the high quality and diverse scholarship within the College of Education and Human Sciences. We would ask everyone to save the date—November 2nd, 2012 from 4:00-6:00 P.M.

CEHS New Graduate Student Welcome

CEHS will host a reception in September to welcome new graduate students to the CEHS community of scholars. The reception will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012, 3:30 pm to 4:30pm, in the Buros Library (lower level Teachers College). This is a time for new students to meet CEHS faculty, staff, and students.
