Caitlin Mercier, Ph.D.

Caitlin Mercier is an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Counseling Psychology and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) programs at Illinois State University. Broadly interested in invisible and visible marginalized identities, her research interests include the experiences of veg*ns in the context of stigma and well-being of Black communities/women in the context of anti-Black racism and colorism. She currently leads the STIGMA lab. Her favorite things to do include baking and cooking vegan foods and reading science fiction novels.
