Students from East China Normal University in Shanghai visited UNL for three weeks. The trip was part of an exchange program between ECNU and UNL.

Visiting students showing projects

The relationship between ECNU and UNL is an example of collaboration that benefits each institution. ECNU students are able to see how early childhood practices are implemented in the US and participate in deep discussion and learning opportunities to see how some of these ideas can be applied to their work in China. UNL students are able to do the same thing during study tours to China. These experiences enable all of us to stretch and grow and refine our work to benefit young children.

The students went on tours of schools in Nebraska, including Educare Winnebago, to learn about early childhood development. Highlights of the trip included the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, a rodeo in downtown Lincoln, and shopping at the Nebraska Crossing outlet malls in Gretna.
