Research in CYAF focuses on the development of individuals and relationships within families, schools, and communities, and covers the spectrum from basic to applied research. Both internally sponsored (Agriculture Research Division/ARD and Academic Affairs/AA) and externally funded projects characterize the work of CYAF faculty.

Student Involvement in Research

As part of their ongoing research programs, faculty consistently involve undergraduate and graduate students. Graduate students take part in research as part of graduate assistantships, research hours (CYAF 898), and thesis/dissertation work. UNL’s UCARE (Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experiences provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to work with faculty members for direct, hands-on exposure to research and other creative endeavors.
