Dawn Lindsley is the assistant professor of practice for the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Education program in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Department of Child, Youth and Family Studies. She has over 20 years of experience in Family and Consumer Sciences, Career and Technical Education (CTE), and college and career readiness. She brings a diverse range of experiences to her position, from classroom teaching to leadership roles at the state and national levels. Her career spans formal and informal education, state departments of education, and includes work across secondary and postsecondary settings. Her leadership enriches her ability to influence and drive positive change in the field of education.

Lindsley is dedicated to supporting both aspiring educators and those currently working in the field by providing research-informed, evidence-based practices, and resources that foster innovative professional growth and educational excellence. Her goal is to create a meaningful impact on students' lives while empowering educators to thrive in the classroom and beyond. Building a strong, collaborative community is key to ensuring that our teachers and leaders are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to succeed in both education and the workforce.

Dawn Lindsley holds a bachelor's degree in FCS Education and a minor in Leadership Studies from Kansas State University, master’s and educational specialist degrees from Fort Hays State University, and a doctorate from Lamar University.
