Richard Bischoff receives Friend Award for leadership in online ed alliance

Richard Bischoff, associate vice chancellor for faculty and academic leader success in the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln, was honored with a 2019 Friend of the Great Plains IDEA Award. He was celebrated for committed leadership in the academic alliance.

Seventh annual Huskers for Hearing 5K is April 27

The Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is hosting the seventh annual Huskers for Hearing 5K Saturday, April 27, on East Campus.

The event, which benefits HearU Nebraska and SAA, begins at 9 a.m. at the Barkley Memorial Center. For the second year in a row, a virtual option is also available for individuals who would like to participate but are unable to attend the event in Lincoln.

Burton and Jorgensen receive 2019 CEHS awards

Dr. Jennifer Jorgensen, Assistant Professor in the department of Textiles Merchandising & Fashion Design has been selected as one of three recipients of the 2019 College of Education and Human Sciences Outstanding Teaching Award. The committee was impressed with her contributions and excellence in teaching. These are already very well known to us in the department, and it’s great to have Jennybeth’s contributions acknowledged by the College.
