Dev recognized with National USDA/NIFA Extension Award

Dr. Dipti Dev, Betti and Richard Robinson Professorship of Early Childhood in Extension, Assistant Professor, and Child Health Behaviors Extension Specialist, is being recognized by the United States Department of Agriculture and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture as an important leader and contributor locally, statewide, and nationally.

The fourth exhibition of the Robert Hillestad Textiles Gallery’s 2017-2018 programming year opens this Friday, February 2 at its east campus location. The exhibition continues through March 23. Kansas City-based artist Jason Pollen will speak about his exhibition at 5:15 p.m. in the gallery, located on the secondfloor of the Human Sciences Building on East Campus Loop.

CEHS global course proposals earn NU startup grants

The College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln has landed two successful applications in the University of Nebraska’s “Global Perspectives in the Curriculum” funding competition. Courses proposed by faculty members in Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education (TLTE) and in Nutrition and Health Sciences (NHS) were selected for $5,000 development grants. The courses were designed, in part, to respond to the college’s “grand challenge” focus on immigrant, migrant and multi-cultural populations.
