What would you like to see in the new Mabel Lee?

All CEHS students, faculty, staff, alumni and others are invited to attend one of two learning and feedback sessions this Thursday, March 8 regarding the construction of a new Mabel Lee Hall. The college would like  input to help design a building that will serve students, faculty, staff and stakeholders well into the 21st century.

Apple iMovie and Clips Workshop March 13

Build up your movie making resume through the iMovie and Clips workshop from 3-5 p.m. March 13 in the Henzlik Hub. Any student, faculty or staff member is welcome to learn how to make creative movies through iMovie and Clips. With iMovie you can browse your video clips, share your favorite moments, and create trailers and movies. iMovie comes on every new Mac. Clips is an iOS app for making and sharing fun videos with text, effects, graphics and more.

Dr. Dipti Dev, Betti and Richard Robinson Professorship of Early Childood in Extension and Assistant Professor and Child Health Behaviors Extension Specialist has been recognized by the Agriculture Research Division as one of two recipients of the Junior Faculty for Excellence in Research Award.

HearU Nebraska bridges financial gap to provide hearing aids for children across Nebraska

When Eric and Brittney Kowalski found out in 2016 that their family of three needed not one, but two sets of hearing aids, they faced the harsh reality of knowing they could not afford both at that time. That’s when their five-year-old daughter’s audiologist at E.N.T. Physicians of Kearney told them about HearU Nebraska. 

When their daughter, Bria, was diagnosed with a hearing loss just before starting kindergarten in their hometown of Loup City, Nebraska, Brittney was in the process of getting hearing aids to address her own hearing loss.

Registration open for Spring Research Fair poster sessions

Registration is open for the graduate and undergraduate research and creative activity poster sessions and creative exhibitions for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Spring Research Fair, April 10 and 11 in the Nebraska Union.

The registration deadline is 3 p.m. March 16. All students are encouraged to participate.

The annual fair showcases research and creative accomplishments by university graduate and undergraduate students.
