Post-Doctoral Fellowship Opportunity in Autism Treatment

Nationwide Children's Hospital

Columbus, OH

NCH’s Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (CASD) announces 2 postdoctoral fellowship positions for the 2024-2025 academic year. The NCH CASD provides a wide range of evidence-based interventions and supports for autistic clients and their families.  We serve clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, and fellows will have the opportunity to develop and integrate cultural identity and humility into their service delivery.

This post-doctoral experience will allow for training in a broad range of service options to provide the fellow with a broad basis of treatment knowledge in Year 1.  The option to continue for a second year allows for further clinical specialization and opportunities to provide supervision, grow leadership skills, and implement program development in Year 2. Fellows will choose an area of emphasis (Complex Behavior, Behavioral Intervention, Autism Psychotherapy, Adolescent Transition) which will organize their primary duties, with other diverse clinical experiences worked around this major emphasis. Collaboration with the NCH Child Development Center allows for additional opportunities to become proficient in diagnostic screening and assessment, cognitive assessment, and multi-disciplinary teamwork.

Applicants must have completed all requirements of an APA-approved graduate program specializing in child/adolescence and disabilities experiences and completed a one-year APA accredited clinical internship.

NCH holds as a mission and opportunity to address the issue of racism.  Through diversity, we are able to achieve the highest standards of inclusiveness and create a culture that respects individual differences that best represent our community.  Nationwide Children's Hospital is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.  People from minoritized communities, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
