Psychology Fellowship Program

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) is offering postdoctoral fellowship opportunities in Pediatric Psychology:

1. Consultation-Liaison and Hematology/Oncology/BMT

2. Consultation-Liaison and Pain

3. Consultation-Liaison and Eating Disorders

4. Hem/Onc/BMT, focus on PCIT in Pediatric Oncology

5. Autism Spectrum Disorder and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities

The psychology fellowship program is designed to provide clinical and research experiences necessary to support independent practice in pediatric and clinical child psychology and advanced training for a career within an academic medical and/or hospital setting. Opportunities for supervisory experiences with psychology interns exist for both assessment and intervention. Fellows will participate in scheduled didactics/advanced seminars and supervision with core faculty. There is an expectation for involvement in collaborative research or program development.

Pediatric Psychology

This program focuses on:

• Specialized training working with youth and their families with chronic and/or acute illness

• Evidence-based assessment and intervention • improving quality of life, coping with medical conditions, and treatment adherence

• Developing skills for functioning within interdisciplinary medical teams

• Advanced training in consultation-liaison

Fellows will deliver inpatient and outpatient clinical services to diverse pediatric populations and become an integrated member on multidisciplinary treatment teams through specialty medical clinics.

Advanced training in biofeedback, RO-DBT and motivational interviewing is available.

The fellow in the Hem/Onc/BMT position focused on PCIT in pediatric oncology will be part of a grant funded intervention, carry a small outpatient case load, participate in comprehensive Hem/Onc clinics and engage in inpatient care.

Autism Spectrum Disorder & Neurodevelopmental Disabilities

This program focuses on:

• Advanced training in Neurodevelopmental Disorders

• Differential diagnosis

• Evidence-based assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Intellectual Developmental Disorder, Specific Learning Disorder, Communication Disorder, disruptive behaviors, and internalizing disorders

• Empirically supported family and group treatments (e.g., behavioral parent training).

The position will include primarily outpatient clinical experiences, including working as an integrated member on interdisciplinary evaluation teams at the JHACH Autism Program. Inpatient consultation opportunities are available

Applicants from APA- or CPA-accredited programs in Clinical, School, or Counseling Psychology are encouraged to apply. Completion of an APA-accredited internship, and all requirements for conferral of doctoral degree prior to start date is required.
