NCH Primary Care Fellowship Columbus OH

NCH Primary Care Fellowship Columbus OH

06 Nov 2023

Primary Care Fellowship: This fellow will join a growing team of psychologists who have been integrated into the NCH Primary Care Network for the past 7 years. The team is comprised of 11 psychologists and 6 master’s level providers integrated into 10 of the 14 NCH primary care clinics. The fellow will spend the majority of time with attending psychologists in integrated primary care settings, but will also have the option to have minor rotating experiences in outpatient medical clinics. Our primary care clinics serve a diverse patient population including immigrant and refugee populations, particularly Latineh, Somali, and Nepali families. For applicants seeking additional support in conducting services in Spanish, bilingual supervision and training can be offered. Our model is highly integrated, emphasizing rapid consultation and intervention during medical appointments, while also offering short-term follow-up interventions for some patients. Fellows are trained to serve a broad range of ages (0-21) and presenting concerns. The fellow will also receive interprofessional, team-based training experiences with pediatric medical residents. There will also be opportunities for assessment with the primary care setting, research, program development, and community outreach. Diversity is an important part of Nationwide Children's Hospital’s vision and, as an organization, we strive to have our staff be reflective of the communities we serve. At Nationwide Children's, diversity is defined more broadly than the traditional definition of race and/or nationality and includes race, ethnicity, age, gender, socioeconomic status, religious beliefs, family structure, sexual orientation and physical ability. Across the hospital you will see multiple initiatives in line with this value.
