Internship positions have a strong focus on evaluation services but include additional opportunities for research and intervention. The evaluation clinics use psychometry support and live camera feed allows for increased independence during internship year.

2 Intern Positions for the 2024-2025 Training Year
- Focused training in the evaluation of autism spectrum disorder and neurodevelopment
- Strong applicants have the following:
- At least 200 hours of assessment experience
- Previous experience with neurodiverse individuals
- Involvement in scholarly activities (publications, research labs, poster presentations)
- Exposure and/or experience with the ADOS-2
- Training opportunities available:
- Diagnostic evaluation across pediatric age range with complex patient populations
- Formal training in ADOS-2 available (clinical and research trainings)
- Same-day feedback with families and patients
- Interdisciplinary training and consultation
- Group therapy experience
- Involvement in research
- Continued training through postdoctoral fellowship is available and encouraged for predoctoral interns

The Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to research, training, and service innovations to support the lives of individuals with ASD and other neurodevelopmental differences. The Thompson Center is a unique collaboration of colleges and schools that bring together experts from numerous departments across the University of Missouri campus to expand research and services for children affected by neurodevelopmental and acquired neurological disorders. Clinical services currently include neuropsychology, developmental-behavioral pediatrics, pediatric psychology, speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, applied behavioral analysis, social work, nursing, and psychiatry.
