 Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas (CHC/SEK), in partnership with the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC), invite applicants for a 12-month Clinical Child Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship in a busy integrated federally qualified healthcare center. CHC/SEK is proud to offer comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health services to over 60,000 Kansas and Oklahoma residents. This fellowship is designed to prepare the psychologist for a career of integrated healthcare with an emphasis on the underserved rural pediatric population.

The postdoctoral fellow will work with the integrated healthcare team to deliver clinical behavioral health services in both individual and group settings. Primary duties include diagnostic exams, psychotherapy, psychological testing, and consultative services. This fellowship will include experiences within traditional outpatient services, behavioral health consultant services, and CHC/SEKs school-based behavioral health program. Nonclinical activities will include staff and community education, practicum supervision opportunities, and quality improvement initiatives.

The postdoctoral fellow will be supervised by a leading expert in Child Psychology within the KUMC Pediatrics Department and will be part of a postdoctoral cohort, attending regular didactic instruction and trainings. The fellow will also be connected to various support services including career development, educational events, mental health services, social events, and access to research support services across different KUMC departments and affiliations.

Required Skills

• Ph.D. or PsyD in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or School Psychology

• Graduate of APA accredited internship and APA accredited Ph.D./PsyD program

• Must possess or be eligible for Kansas temporary license before the start of the program

Practice Information

• Position Type: Full-Time Outpatient

• Minimum of 1800 hours of supervised experience with at least 900 hours providing direct clinical services

• Minimum of 180 hours per year of supervised experience spent providing general or nonclinical psychological services

• Hours: 40 hours/week including clinical and non-clinical duties.

• Location: CHC/SEK Pittsburg North, 3011 N. Michigan St, Pittsburg, KS 66762

• Annual salary of $60,000
