Postdoctoral Fellowship in Digital Psychiatry

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Digital Psychiatry

06 Feb 2024

Please consider applying for this two-year Postdoctoral Psychology Fellowship focused on digital tools for the assessment and treatment of youth mental health disorders.

The fellow will participate in multiple studies using novel technology including digital phenotyping (data collected passively from participants’ smartphones) and app-based treatments to improve outcomes for adolescents with mood disorders and those at risk for suicide. The fellow will have the opportunity to learn about digital phenotyping and other topics related to digital psychiatry (e.g., technology-based assessment and treatment tools). Additionally, the fellow will gain experience working with adolescents with mood disorders and their caregivers and will become expert in the assessment of adolescent mood symptoms. Specific responsibilities will include conducting diagnostic evaluations with both caregiver and youth, doing monthly follow-ups with caregiver and youth, assisting with other aspects of the research (e.g., IRB protocol amendments, collaborating with other clinicians to recruit participants), collaborating on research presentations and manuscripts, and helping to mentor students and post-baccalaureate research coordinators in the lab. The fellow will also be encouraged to develop their own interests and to pursue their own investigations, writing projects (manuscripts or conference submissions), and grant submissions.

The fellow will participate fully in the academic program of the psychology training program. As advanced trainees, all fellows are involved in providing educational programs for parents and school professionals.  Fellows may also provide supervision to undergraduates, pre-doctoral psychology trainees, and psychiatry residents.
